The #shotoniPhone campaign is widely used by Apple to promote the iPhone cameras as well as some photographers, designers and artists. Apple, according to a report by 9to5Mac, commissioned graphic designer Gaia Barnatan to merge some images taken on iPhone via editing application available on iPhone.
Apple’s Instagram handle shows how the graphic designer creates image fusions by editing on the iPhone. “You can do anything you can imagine” with it, writes Apple.
The report cites Barnatan who said, ” These surreal collages are unique and unconventional. They encourage spontaneity and going beyond the predictable. In other art forms that I explored, there was this pressure I put on myself to get things “right”. For me, this style helps ease those expectations and allows me to be more playful and experimental in my approach. It allowed me to be really open in my creative expression.
Apple showed off eight Shot on iPhone images used to create four different collages through Bazaart, a photo and video editing app.
Users can remove the background from any photo using a background eraser. Moreover, it is also possible to remove unwanted objects and people from any photo with “surgical precision” using the repair tool.
Up to 100 photo layers and 5 video layers can be added in Bazaart where each layer can be edited independently with reversible edits.
There are two subscription options available in Bazaart premium – $11.99 per month or $71.99 per month. It also provides the magic background remover and the ability to create unlimited with a large collection of graphics, templates and fonts. It can be used from the App Store.
