Pest control, golf and landscape professionals are innovators by nature, using ingenuity and creativity every day to make the pest control industry work. To celebrate this work ethic – and the American spirit, Amguard Environmental Technologies has launched its American Innovator Recognition Program.
Throughout 2022, Amguard invites pest control, golf and landscape professionals to nominate a peer by visiting amvac.com/american-innovators. Nominators can explain in 300 words or less and with up to two photos how their nominee demonstrates industry innovation in one of two categories: Product Use and Application Technique or Marketing and Business Management .
“The American Innovators program is our way of recognizing industry professionals who strive for excellence in everything they do,” said Shayne M. Wetherall, CEO of AMGUARD Environmental Technologies. “When we celebrate each other’s progress – our daily successes – we collectively inspire new breakthroughs. As a company that prides itself on delivering innovative technology made in the USA, it is an honor to recognize those who embody the American spirit.
Nominations are now open and industry professionals can nominate a peer until June 30, 2022. A selection committee made up of industry leaders, influencers and peers will review the nominations and select the winners. The first two American Innovators winners will be announced at PestWorld 2022 in Boston, Mass. Each winner will receive their own symbol of American ingenuity and craftsmanship – a wooden American “Flag of Valor” from the Legacy Series, handcrafted by American veterans. .
Amguard not only celebrates American innovation, but also recognizes American service. The company sponsors Project EverGreen’s GreenCare for Troops program, which mobilizes free pest control, lawn and landscaping services for military families through its network of volunteers. Amguard presented a check for $20,000 to the organization in February to launch its program.
Cindy Code, executive director of Project EverGreen, says now is the time for collaboration — and recognition for American innovators.
“Military families face many challenges when a loved one is deployed, and more than ever, they appreciate having a pest-free home and healthy green spaces where they can relax, reflect and let their children play” , she says. “Professionals in the pest control industry are creative and enthusiastic, so it’s no surprise to see them stepping up with great energy to support these families. They are often humble by nature, but it’s time to shine the spotlight on them and thank them for their hard work and willingness to give back.
Amguard will share updates from American Innovators throughout the year on its website and at other industry live events.
