Update: This story has been updated to reflect that the Magicut app is now called Cooclip.

A few months ago, developer Versa released “Cooclip”, a video editing app for iPhone and iPad that is best described as “GenZ video editor”. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

While iPad users have some great apps to enjoy like Apple’s own music videos and iMovie and the powerful LumaFusion for professional editors, Versa is targeting a more creative audience with its video editor.

As easy to use as Pixelmator for photo editing, Cooclip uses advanced AI technology so that users can cut out figures and objects in videos with just one click.

The app offers a variety of transition effects, memes, stickers, and copyright-free music that are available to inspire users when creating their own videos.

To use Cooclip, users don’t need an Apple pencil or keyboard, the experience is best enjoyed by tapping the screen which is great with any iPad especially the new ipad mini, which is very portable and has the powerful A15 chip.

Here are some of the other features available on Cooclip:

  • Cut objects with the Custom Cutor function, without the need for a green screen;
  • Easily change the background of your video;
  • Recognize and generate captions and lyrics with one click;
  • Full keyframe functions support adjustment of animations, rotation, transparency and all editing features;
  • Support different forms of masks, combination with Keyfram allows you to create better visual effect;
  • Support multi-track editing so that you can edit videos efficiently;
  • Hide the selected layers to facilitate your work;
  • Add a ton of different effects.
