Los Cabos, Mexico – Quivira Golf Club, the epic Jack Nicklaus Signature course etched on a breathtaking Land’s End site at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, has received a 2022 Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Award in the category “Better Mexico and Central America”. It is the seventh consecutive year that the club has been honored with the most respected and widely read publication in sport.

The magazine’s description of Quivira in its online edition sums up the layout’s enduring appeal.

There is more. Following Quivira’s original 36-hole plan, Nicklaus will return to build a second course at the dazzling Land’s End site. This will be the Golden Bear’s eighth design effort at a destination he describes as “one of my all-time favorite places.”
Although the routing plan for the new course is yet to be finalized, it will occupy a prime parcel in the northwest area of the 1,850-acre development. Holes will be dug in the rolling foothills of the desert and the wide valleys covered in cacti. Winding arroyos flank or cross the fairways. The southern part of the course will offer panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortes. The high, distant peaks of the Sierra de la Laguna range will serve as aiming points on the inside holes. The new site will offer a different challenge but which will reflect the high quality of the existing course. Groundbreaking should begin in the fourth quarter of 2022.
